Ulrika says it's over with Sven

Ulrika Jonsson has admitted she had a relationship with Sven-Goran Eriksson.

But she insists it is now over.

The TV presenter said she was "no longer a part of this relationship".

But she denied ever issuing Eriksson with an ultimatum.

She denied reports she had demanded the 54-year-old England coach choose between her and his Italian girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio.

Making her first public comment since their affair was reported last week, Ulrika said in a statement: "In the hope of dispelling any further rumours about my relationship with Sven-Goran Eriksson, I would like to make it clear that I have never issued him with any ultimatums."

Her statement, issued through her agent and friend Melanie Cantor, continued: "Like everybody else, I wish Sven the very best for the World Cup.

"But I also have a job to do, both as a mother and as a professional, and would like to be allowed to continue to do my job without any further speculation involving me and this relationship.

"I am no longer a part of this relationship."

Until now, she and Sven had refused to comment on speculation about their private lives.

But Ulrika's stepfather Michael Brodie had said she was in love with Sven and would like to spend her life with him.

He said their relationship had been going on since before Christmas.

Sven has two grown-up children from his previous marriage. He has been in a relationship with Italian lawyer Dell'Olio for three years.
