Sonia wants her baby back

The angst level in EastEnders will continue to rise as Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) , having given up her baby for adoption, will try and steal her back, in a forthcoming storyline.

She might even end up in jail for doing so.

The forthcoming baby-snatching storyline in EastEnders has shades of the ZoeTattersall caper in Coronation Street, where the teenage mum attempted to steal back the baby she had initially sold.

The actress who played Zoe, Joanne Froggatt, now admits that there were some hard-to-believe aspects to that particular plot and others too with which her character was involved.

"I always thought the business with her and the cult, that she joined, was pretty far fetched," says Joanne. "I did say to the scriptwriters: ` are you sure this would happen?` and they assured me it could."

"And who was I to disbelieve them?"
