Trevor may need plastic surgery

There is no problem for Alex Ferns, even if the public do give him grief following the EastEnders court case involving his character Trevor and wife Mo.

"I have a very special clause in my BBC contract," says Scotsman Alex. "It permits me to have plastic surgery if the going gets too hot to handle and the public are giving me too much stick."

Surely he's joking isn't he?

Meanwhile, Kacey Ainsworth, who plays the unfortunate Mo, got used to having her face rearranged in a rather different way, during filming of her character's court case.

"I had to do so much crying that my eyes got all red and puffy and started to close up," says Kacey.

"So they had to use spoons to get them looking wide and normal, again, for scenes where I wasn't crying.

"It wouldn't have been a problem if we had shot all the non-crying scenes at once and then all the crying scenes thereafter but it didn't happen like that.

"Thankfully, the process didn't hurt."
