Angela would love to go back to Corrie

Actress Angela Griffin, currently starring in BBC1 comedy drama Cutting It, says she would loved to have appeared in the special, live 40th anniversary edition of Coronation Street.

Angela first found fame as hairdresser Fiona Middleton, in Corrie, and said she was: "desperately hoping for a call" from ITV bosses, in the run-up to the famous screening.

"I so wanted to go back there and appear in the show, even if my character had only been seen walking down the famous cobbles, pushing her baby in its pram," says Angela.

"Alas, the call never came. But I'd still like to go back and appear in Corrie at some future point."
