The companies behind Monsters Inc are to make a new film about a family of superheroes.

Disney and Pixar are teaming up again for The Incredibles.

It is scheduled to be released in 2004.

It will be directed by Brad Bird, who made The Iron Giant, with Toy Story director John Lasseter as executive producer, reports www.variety.com.

Lasseter will also direct Cars, following an assortment of vehicles as they travel Route 66. It is due out in 2005.

The next film by Disney and Pixar will be Finding Nemo, featuring the voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe, Geoffrey Rush and Alexander Gould.

The underwater adventure is about a father fish and his son who become separated in the Great Barrier Reef.
