Ally McBeal has been scrapped

There will be no more new episodes after the end of the current series of Ally McBeal.

The show starring Calista Flockhart has been going for five years.

"It's sad to say goodbye to something you love, even when perhaps it is time," said the show's creator David E Kelley.

He decided the time had come to end the show after it's American ratings fell during the current series.

The final series of Ally McBeal is currently being shown in the UK on E4.
