Claudia Schiffer 'to wed this year'

Claudia Schiffer will marry her British lover Matthew Vaughn before the end of this year, it has been reported.

The supermodel's mother Gudrun confirmed her daughter will "marry within the next six months," reports Germany's Bunte magazine.

Mrs Schiffer also said it is a mystery to her why there are constantly reports the couple have split up.

She said: "All these rumours are rubbish, as the wedding will take place. They were just the creations of the press."

The interview is set to appear in Thursday's edition of the weekly magazine but scant details have been issued by Bunte in advance.

Schiffer, 31, was the longtime partner of magician David Copperfield and later was with another British boyfriend, businessman Tim Jeffries.

She has become a multi-millionaire through her modelling contracts including stints for Chanel and L'Oreal.

Vaughn, also 31, produced Guy Ritchie films Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

The couple live in London's Notting Hill.

It is unknown where the wedding will take place.
