J-Lo opens Cuban-style restaurant

Jennifer Lopez has opened her own restaurant in California.

The new Cuban-themed, family-style restaurant in Pasadena is called Madre's.

Nicole Kidman was among the celebrities who joined Lopez and her husband Cris Judd at the opening.

Other businesses in the area had complained that permission for restaurant had been fast-tracked for Lopez so she could throw a post-Oscars party.

She was given the go-ahead in time for the ceremony but in the event the party didn't happen.
