Two young film-stars have been banned from seeing their own film because it's too raunchy.

11-year-old John Cowan and his nine-year-old brother Scott star with Ewan McGregor in Young Adam.

The boys' parents say they' will have to watch the 18-rated film when their older because of it's graphic sex scenes.

Their mother Karen told The Daily Record: "My boys will be disappointed but they will not get to see it - it's just not suitable."

McGregor agrees the youngsters shouldn't be allowed to watch it.

He said: "It's an erotic story and I would be surprised if kids get to see it until they grow up. I have never been shy about this sort of thing, though I haven't done it for a while now."

Young Adam is touted to be the most erotic film made in Scotland and is based on a novel by Glasgow-born author Alexander Trocchi.

It is due to be released next year.
