Liam Gallagher criticises new rock bands
Liam Gallagher has attacked the current crop of rock bands.
The Oasis star says there's no danger in rock 'n' roll any more.
He singled out The Strokes, Starsailor and The Hives for criticism.
"There doesn't seem to be any angry music out there at the moment and it boggles me because life's still shit, doesn't matter how much money you've got in the bank," he told NME.
"The only reason The Strokes do a video in black and white is because they look like a bunch of spotty little idiots in colour."
Liam described Starsailor as "miserable moaners".
And he said of The Hives: "They remind me of The Monkees."
Liam also had a go at The Rolling Stones.
"They don't do anything. Make a record you lazy b******s!" he said.
The only new band to impress Liam are Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
They have been hand-picked to support Oasis at their three Finsbury Park shows in July.
"Black Rebel are my favourite band out of all the ones that are coming out. I like 'em because nobody dares to rock 'n' roll. Nobody's got the balls to do it," Liam said.
Oasis's new single The Hindu Times is out on April 15 and is available to pre-order from Ananova's ecommerce partner HMV on CD and DVD.
