Lyle Lovett is in hospital with a broken leg after he was trampled by a bull.

The country singer was trampled at his uncle's farm near Houston.

A bull had flipped his uncle and Lovett was trampled when he tried to help him.

Memorial Hermann Hospital spokeswoman Beth Sartori says he was in a "good condition" on arrival there.

Lovett's uncle, Calvin Klein, 67, was treated and released at Tomball Regional Hospital.

Lovett's spokesman Vance Knowles, of InKlein Productions, didn't immediately return a call for comment.

Lovett's hits include If I Were The Woman You Wanted and San Antonio Girl. Lovett won his first Grammy in 1989 for his album Lyle Lovett and his Large Band.
