Footballers' Wives star named most eligible bachelor
Actor Gary Lucy - star of TV hit Footballers’ Wives - was today celebrating after being named Britain’s most eligible bachelor.
The star beat 49 other young men from all walks of life including a professional rugby player and a fireman to win the title.
Gary, 20, from Buckhurst Hill, Essex, who plays Kyle Pascoe in the hit show, was watched during last night’s event by co-star Zoe Lucker who portrays streetwise Tanya Turner.
The ceremony was organised by women’s magazine Company and held at a nightclub in central London.
Gary said: ‘‘I’m absolutely thrilled. I’m happy I didn’t come last and I didn’t think I would win at all.
‘‘I just want to thank all Company readers.’’
Second place went to Nick Atkins, 26, a derivatives trader from north London and third was farmer Richard Ryman, 28, from Lichfield, Staffordshire who appeared in the ITV1 show The Farmer Wants a Wife.
