'I want to adopt a child', says Minelli

Newlywed Liza Minnelli today spoke of her desire to adopt a child with the new husband who helped her rebuild her life as she struggled with alcoholism.

During an interview on US television, the 56-year-old Cabaret star talked frankly of her health problems and her love for producer David Gest whom she married at a star-studded wedding in New York last weekend.
