Madonna to compose new 007 theme

Madonna will compose and perform the title song for Die Another Day, the latest James Bond film, the producers said today in New York.

Die Another Day, starring Pierce Brosnan as 007, is the 20th Bond big screen adventure. Halle Berry will co-star.

The film set for release in November.

‘‘We are thrilled that Madonna, who is recognised as the world’s most exciting songwriter and performer, has agreed to compose and sing the song for the first James Bond movie of the new millennium,’’ said producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
