Rev Robbie officiates at friend's wedding

Robbie Williams has transformed himself from one of Britain’s top pop acts to a US church minister in order to marry one of his best friends, according to reports today.

The king of British pop became a minister by surfing the internet and completing an on-line ordination form, according to Hello! magazine.

With his certificate from the non-denominational Universal Ministries, the Rev Robert Williams officiated at the wedding of The Cult bass player Billy Morrison and his US-born girlfriend Jennifer Holliday.

’’We decided to up the ante - have a bit of a laugh and put together a real rock ’n’ roll wedding,’’ Billy told Hello!

’’It was a spur of the moment decision and somehow, within 48 hours, we managed to ordain Robbie, organise all the trimmings and get married.’’

The ceremony took place at the Sunset Marquis Hotel Villas, just of Sunset Boulevard, in Los Angeles, on Friday March 1.
