Samantha Mumba film at top of US charts
Samantha Mumba's new film has gone straight to the top of the US box office charts.
She co-stars with Guy Pearce in The Time Machine.
It made $22.5m (€25.7m) in its opening weekend.
The film is based on the book by HG Wells and was directed by his great-grandson Simon Wells.
In second place is Mel Gibson's We Were Soldiers with $14.5m (€16.6m), and third is All About The Benjamins, an action comedy starring Ice Cube which made just over $10m (€11.4m).
Many of the films nominated for this year's Oscars also fared well at the box office.
A Beautiful Mind made another $3.9m (€4.5m) and Lord Of The Rings took $2.6m (€3m).
