Mel Gibson attends We Were Soldiers premiere

Mel Gibson has attended the world premiere of his new film in Los Angeles.

Gibson stars in We Were Soldiers.

Other members of the cast, including Madeline Stowe and Chris Klein, were also at the screening.

We Were Soldiers is released in Ireland on March 8.

Based on a best-selling book, the film is a depiction of the first major battle between United States and North Vietnamese forces.
