New award for pop princess Kylie

Chart princess Kylie Minogue continued her winning streak today as she was named best pop act at the NME Carling Awards.

U2 collected their best live act prize with a nod to seventies band, The Ramones. Bono and the boys - in the US to attend the Grammys later this week - had recorded a version of Ramones single Beat On The Brat as part of their taped acceptance.
