Dame Judi 'shaken' after winning Bafta for Iris role

Dame Judi Dench says she felt shaken after winning the Bafta for best actress.

She won the honour for her role as Iris Murdoch in Iris.

The other actresses nominated were Nicole Kidman, Sissy Spacek, Audrey Tautou and Renee Zellweger.

Dame Judi joked that she had just made a million pound bet with her agent that she wouldn't win.

She said that was why she felt shaken.

Dame Judi said she found it "hideous" watching herself on film.

"I have seen Iris but I don't want to see it again for a long time," she said.
