Tommy Lee being sued over boy's party pool death
Tommy Lee is being sued by the parents of a four-year-old boy who drowned in the pool at his mansion.
Ursula Karven and James Veres are suing for wrongful death and negligence.
They claim Lee failed to provide proper supervision for their son Daniel during a party on June 16 last year.
Karven and Veres have filed a lawsuit with Los Angeles Superior Court, according to reports.
The party was held to celebrate the fifth birthday of Brandon Lee, the son of Tommy and his ex-wife of Pamela Anderson.
The lawsuit claims Daniel and other children were left unsupervised in the swimming pool at Lee's home. It also claims up to 50 unspecified employees of Lee were "focusing their attention on socialising with other employees, friends and bystanders at the party."
Karven and Veres are claiming damages for reimbursement of medical care, funeral expenses, loss of earnings as a result of the incident, and punitive damages for their pain and suffering.
At the time the death was ruled an accident by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Lee has 30 days to file a response to the lawsuit.
