Former NYPD Blue star sentenced for reckless driving
Actress Kim Delaney has been sentenced to two years probation after pleading no contest to a charge of reckless driving.
The former NYPD Blue star was also fined €212 and ordered to take a safe-driving course.
She was arrested on January 26 on suspicion of drink-driving, after being spotted driving erratically.
A motorist had called police to report a vehicle traveling erratically, then followed it to Delaney's home in Malibu, California.
After being arrested Delaney was taken to a sheriff's station, where she refused to submit to blood-alcohol tests.
There was "insufficient evidence to prove that her erratic driving was due to alcohol," said Deputy District Attorney Jane Robison.
Delaney won a Best Supporting Actress Emmy Award for her role in NYPD Blue. She played Diane Russell, an officer battling alcoholism. She left the series last year.
