Joan Collins to wed for fifth time

Joan Collins is walking down the aisle for the fifth time at a secretive wedding ceremony.

The 68-year-old is marrying theatre boss Percy Gibson, 36, in front of 175 guests at Claridges Hotel in central London.

Details of the wedding will be kept under wraps because of an exclusive magazine deal which could reportedly earn the couple up to £2 million.

Gibson, half-Scottish and half-Peruvian, proposed to Collins after they had been seeing each other for just 12 weeks last May.

The venue and details of the wedding have been widely speculated and it was even reported that the couple married on Friday to avoid media attention.

Her agent says the couple are to say their vows in the ballroom of the famous hotel at 5pm this afternoon in front of a star-studded line up of guests which is expected to include Sir Michael Caine, Roger Moore, Jerry Hall, Sir Cliff Richard, Cilla Black and Shirley Bassey.

The exclusive picture rights for the wedding have been hot property and British magazine OK! eventually won the day and are believed to have paid £375,000 for the contract.

She was just 18 when she married first husband actor Maxwell Reed in 1952. She went on to marry actor, singer and songwriter Anthony Newley in 1963, producer Ron Kass in 1972 and Swedish singer Peter Holm in 1985.

Her fifth wedding is due to be no understated affair and she is expected to wear a pink silk dress by Hollywood designer Nolan Miller who designed the costumes for Dynasty.

Her three children, Tara Newley, 38, Sacha Newley, 36, and Katy Kass, 29 are expected to attend but are reported to have expressed their disapproval of their mother's latest husband.
