Gwyneth Paltrow stalker loses appeal

A man found guilty of stalking Gwyneth Paltrow has lost his appeal against his conviction.

Dante Michael Soiu sent hundreds of letters, emails and packages to her and went to her parents' home.

After his conviction in December 2000, he was found to be insane.

He was sentenced to a high-security psychiatric hospital for as long as he is a threat to others or himself.

Paltrow testified during Soiu's trial that she was "very fearful" of him.

And the 2nd District Court of Appeals in Los Angeles has ruled there was "no merit" to his claim there was insufficient evidence to prove he intended to cause fear.
