Posh Spice marks hospital's 150th birthday
Victoria Beckham is launching Great Ormond Street Hospital's 150th birthday celebrations.
She will unveil a giant floral teardrop shaped like the childrens' hospital's logo on the banks of the River Thames.
Posh Spice will help a group of young patients make the final touches to the 12,000-flower creation next to the London Eye.
Special lights will turn the big wheel a romantic red to commemorate St Valentine's Day in 1852, when the hospital first opened its doors to sick children.
The Eye will be donating 10p from every visitor to the hospital from today until March 10.
Great Ormond Street had just 10 beds when it first opened to deal with the dire shortage of healthcare for sick children in the British capital. It now treats more than 100,000 children every year.
