Kylie 'happy to remain anonymous in US'

Kylie Minogue says she's not sure whether she has the energy to break the US market.

She is currently enjoying her biggest Stateside hit since 1988 with 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.

But she says she's quite happy to stay anonymous in America.

Kylie's last top five hit in the US was The Loco-Motion.

She said: "The minute you stop fancying that person is when the person starts taking a fancy to you. That's how I feel about the US.

"I don't know if I have the drive and enthusiasm to break in America. Quite honestly, I don't feel the need to have to tell people how to say my name or discuss The Loco-Motion.

"Up until now, I've resigned myself to the fact that America wouldn't be like the rest of the world for me. I'm anonymous there - which, I must confess, I kind of like."

Kylie will make an instore appearance at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square, New York, on Friday, after her appearance on MTV's Total Request Live which will be co-hosted by Britney Spears.

Can't Get You Out Of My Head is at number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and Kylie's album Fever is released in America on February 26.
