S Club 7 girls back Hear'Say in row over new recruit

S Club 7 have supported Hear'Say's move to replace Kym Marsh with Johnny Shentall.

S Club 7 have supported Hear'Say's move to replace Kym Marsh with Johnny Shentall.

The band have been criticised for recruiting the boyfriend of former Steps star Lisa Scott-Lee.

Some fans have claimed the two-day auditions held at the weekend were a sham.

But S Club 7 singer Tina Barrett said: "It's best to take on someone you know and like. You spend an awful lot of time together."

Hannah Spearritt added:"I can see why they did the auditions in case they met someone really outstanding."
