Barrymore set for return to TV screens
Michael Barrymore will return to TV next month with his first new series since his personal troubles.
He comes back with a 6.30pm Sunday slot for My Kind Of Music from February 10.
ITV bosses will be monitoring how well the show goes down with the audience.
His show was filmed last year, shortly after he was cleared of criminal involvement following a police probe into the death of a man at his home.
Last year he also received treatment at a rehabilitation clinic and his mother died.
An ITV spokesman said today: "The reaction and response he got from the studio audience was very positive."
There had been a question mark over Barrymore's future during the police investigation into the death of Stuart Lubbock.
ITV's director of channels David Liddiment said last year: "We are being supportive to Michael. He is an extraordinarily talented man. He has been through a crisis. The events have been a terrible wake-up call to him."
He added at the time that it would be up to the public when Barrymore would make a return to TV.
