Everett to get the chop

Actor Rupert Everett is preparing to get the chop as he films a scene for his latest movie, Cromwell and Fairfax.

The star of My Best Friend’s Wedding and An Ideal Husband portrays King Charles I in the eagerly-awaited film about the English Civil War.

Ironically, the scene in which the King meets his fate on the chopping block was filmed on the exact anniversary of the original beheading of the monarch.
