Frank Butcher to fake death in EastEnders' special

Frank Butcher will pretend to be dead in a forthcoming EastEnders' special.

Peggy Mitchell will arrive in Spain ready to attend his funeral, but will instead be greeted by Frank's latest money-making scam.

The week-long special was filmed in Spain and will be broadcast from January 28.

Frank's latest scam will end in disaster when Peggy is kidnapped by two irate investors.

The special episodes feature Mike Reid as Frank, Rula Lenska's new character Krystal and Peggy's daughter Sam, now played by Kim Medcalf.

Sam Mitchell will be staying on as a Walford regular.
