Elton to perform in Cork

Elton John is set to perform in Cork's Pairc Ui Chaoimh this summer, according to reports today.

It will be Elton's first-ever concert by the Lee.

The concert will take place on Sunday, July 7, before up to 40,00 fans, according to a report in today's Evening Echo.

Tickets are expected to go on sale from Ticketmaster later this week.

Elton John last played in Ireland in 1998 when he played two sell-out gigs in Croke Park.
