Bowie in hospital after holiday chest scare

David Bowie checked himself into hospital after suffering a chest complaint while on holiday.

He had six hours of treatment while staying in Florida with his wife Iman and daughter Alexandria.

Doctors blamed his breathing problems on a severe bout of flu.

A spokesman for Bowie said: "He's been suffering from flu recently which got to his chest.

"He decided to get something for it so checked himself into hospital. He is fine now but still feeling a bit fluey."
