Welsh Music Awards scrapped

The Welsh Music Awards have been cancelled.

This year's event was scheduled for January 14.

It was reportedly scrapped after a disagreement between the organisers and the show's management company.

The "Writs" - the Welsh equivalent of the Brit Awards - were originally scheduled for Cardiff International Arena on November 27 last year, but the show was postponed because some of the major nominees were unable to attend.

Ash and The Lost prophets were scheduled to perform at the rearranged ceremony, but the organisers were reported to be unhappy at the lack of big name acts in attendance, reports claim.
