Sky News presenter appeals against sacking

Sky News presenter Frank Partridge is to appeal against his dismissal for slapping co-presenter Kay Burley.

He was sacked just before Christmas after admitting he hit his Live At Five co-presenter during a row off air.

The journalist claims he was wrongfully dismissed.

Partridge was immediately suspended after the incident and went before a disciplinary panel.

His appeal will be heard in the next two weeks, reports Media Guardian.

Partridge has reportedly refused to speak about the incident for fear of jeopardising his appeal.
