S Club 7 have denied rumours that they are to disband, saying there is "no way" they are planning to quit.

A statement from the band said there was "absolutely" no truth in the rumour.

They added that were starting a tour at the end of January, filming a movie straight after that and recording a fourth series in 2002.

Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Tina Barrett, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearritt and Jon Lee added: "There is no way that we are planning to quit.

"We came out of 2001 on a high with the Record of the Year Award for Don't Stop Moving and we hope to have even more success this year and beyond."
