Lord Of The Rings star spent two months training for role
Orlando Bloom says he picked up several new skills while preparing for his role in Lord Of The Rings.
He started training in archery and other disciplines two months before the start of filming for the trilogy.
Bloom plays the fearless elf Legolas in the movie versions of JRR Tolkien's books.
"The first thing I had was a bow stuck in my hand," he said.
"I started training with a bow and arrow in order to get archery going. And horse-riding training. And then swordplay."
Bloom also appears in the new film Black Hawk Down.
