X-rated t-shirt is top-seller
An X-rated T-shirt featuring pop stars Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears has become the year's top seller.
The shirt - for Eminem's rap crew D12 - outsold shirts for several "nu-metal" acts to become HMV's biggest-selling garment of the year.
Eminem is known for his suggestive comments about the two singers and the T-shirt features an obscene slogan about Aguilera and Spears.
TV shows have often spawned chart-topping T-shirts, with South Park and The Weakest Link big sellers in previous years, but this year rock acts have dominated sales.
Gennaro Castaldo of HMV said: "For a while band T-shirts fell out of favour but the emergence of rock-rap acts has given a real shot in the arm to the market. Now they are seen as a badge of allegiance for fans."
Kylie Minogue was the biggest-selling poster and calendar at HMV for 2001.
