Sting and U2 in US New Year's Eve TV special

Sting and U2 are to feature in a live New Year's Eve special on US TV.

The ABC2002 show will also feature Arlo Guthrie and James Taylor.

The show will be broadcast from the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

Guthrie will perform his father Woody's classic This Land Is Your Land during the broadcast.

The special will also feature New Year's Eve celebrations and reports from across the globe from such locations as London, Edinburgh, Rio, Moscow, Jerusalem, and Capetown, www.clickmusic.co.uk reports.
