Church 'a monster hit'

Teenage singing star Charlotte Church stole the heart of the Grinch at a Florida theme park.

The Welsh classical singer met the Dr Seuss character - a green monster who tries to steal Christmas - during a visit to Universal Studio’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando last weekend.

Accompanied by her parents, 15-year-old Charlotte took a break from her hectic TV schedule and braved a variety of high-octane rides, including the Mt Crumpit Snow Plummit, the Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dr Doom’s Fearfall.

She then flew to Washington where she will be singing for President Bush and his wife during the taping of the White House Christmas Special.
