Blanchett reveals Lord Of The Rings experience

Cate Blanchett says filming the first Lord Of The Rings film was like being in a video game.

The Fellowship Of The Ring is released on Wednesday.

Blanchett said playing Galadriel, Queen of the Elves, was a new experience for her.

"It was totally uncharted territory for me. I had never done anything with bluescreen before or prosthetics or anything like that," she said.

"The Lord Of The Rings was like stepping into a video game for me. It was another world completely."

The other two parts of the trilogy - The Two Towers and Return Of The King - will be released at Christmas over the next two years.
