Kylie and Robbie 'ideal Christmas dinner companions'

Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams have been voted the public's ideal Christmas dinner companions.

Kylie topped the poll for young men and Felicity Kendall was the choice for older males.

Meanwhile Robbie topped the guest list for women while just 1% said they wanted Jamie Oliver to do the cooking.

The Mori poll for Oxo asked 1,000 people about their festive habits and how they were getting into the festive spirit.

It found 86% will be spending Christmas with their families, with 68% eating traditional turkey and trimmings.

Receiving presents and going to the pub were low priorities, with 82% saying it was most important to spend time with their family.

An Oxo spokesman said: "Christmas can be a very lonely time of year so it's great to think of families being reunited at Christmas and spending quality time together."

Just 3% of people said they would be spending Christmas alone while 9% would be spending the holiday with friends.

More than half the respondents said women would be preparing the Christmas meal while 11% said it would be cooked by a son or daughter.
