Dave Matthews to join musical tribute to Neil Young

Dave Matthews will pay tribute to Neil Young at an awards ceremony.

Young is being honoured by the People for the American Way Foundation.

Matthews, Rufus Wainwright and Jackson Browne will perform Young songs at the event

Awards will also go to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and film-maker Kevin Smith.

The foundation was launched 20 years ago to promote diverse democratic values.

Tonight's ceremony is in Beverly Hills.
