Frasier's brother set to get $1m an episode

David Hyde Pierce is believed to be close to signing a deal for up to $1m per episode of Frasier.

The actor is expected to sign to keep with the show until 2004.

Frasier's main star Kelsey Grammer recently signed a deal to earn $1.6m an episode.

Hyde Pierce plays Frasier Crane's brother Niles in the comedy.

Although no official announcement has been made, Variety reports Hyde Pierce has signed a deal which will see him being paid $750,000 an episode at least, although that may increase.
