Pop singers killed in Zurich plane crash
American pop star Melanie Thornton was among the 24 people killed in the Zurich air crash.
The girl group Passion Fruit were also on board the aircraft.
At least one member of the trio is thought to have survived.
American singer Thornton used to be with the band La Bouche.
She was on tour to publicise her solo album Ready To Fly.
Her single Wonderful Dream features in a new Coca-Cola commercial.
A Zurich police spokesman said: "It is true that Miss Thornton was on the passenger list. She is not among the survivors."
Swiss police have retrieved both flight recorders from the Crossair jet which crashed near Zurich on Saturday night.
They said it was unlikely the aircraft crashed as a result of a terrorist attack.
It was coming in to land in bad weather after a 90-minute flight from Berlin.
Police said they had rescued nine people from the wreckage, three of whom were seriously injured.
The survivors were pulled out through the tailpiece, which had been severed in the crash. All had suffered burns.
