FILM TIPS: Blade Runner 2049 has been in cinemas since yesterday and you haven’t seen it yet? The follow-up to the 1982 classic features the return of 75-year-old Harrison Ford, while sprightly Ryan Gosling further boosts the star power of a film that’s already been getting rave reviews. Meanwhile, upcoming documentaries at Triskel in Cork include Wish You Were Here: The Redbarn Story (tomorrow); and Tawai (Sun-Weds), from Tribe TV series presenter Bruce Parry.

MUSIC NEWS: If you’re heading to New York in the next few months, the show to catch could be Springsteen on Broadway. The man they call The Boss is about to embark on a mammoth run that will see him play five solo shows a week until February at the 975-seats Walter Kerr Theatre. “My show is just me, the guitar, the piano, and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung, all of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal — to communicate something of value,” said Springsteen.
