Facebook's Trending News rolling out on mobile

Facebook is rolling out its redesigned Trending News section to iOS and Android devices in the US, providing users of the Facebook app with a simpler and more intuitive method for finding out about trending topics.

As noted in an article from TechCrunch, Facebook originally announced its plans to redesign the Trending Topics section back in May, and links to publications featured in the revamped Trending News section are determined by user engagement and the publisher’s popularity on Facebook.

It’s highly probable that the redesigned Trending News section will roll out to other regions shortly after it’s made available to all US users.
