Zelda: BotW co-op mod in development

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is regarded by many as one of the greatest games in the series, but a new mod for the game could elevate its standing even higher by adding a feature many Zelda fans have been dreaming of for years: multiplayer co-op.

Fooni, a member of the mod community, is currently developing a multiplayer co-op mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild using the Cemu Wii U emulator for the PC, but expects it will take a few years at least to complete the mod.

As noted in an article from Gamespot, ‘the mod works by teleporting an NPC to the main player, swapping its model to Link, and then having the second player control it.’
