Samsung Galaxy Note 8 locks down late August launch

Previous rumours about the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone have suggested an August timeframe and we now have official confirmation that this is indeed the case.

Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will launch by the end of August, as confirmed by the company’s president of mobile communications DJ Koh at an event in Taiwan (via Phones Daily).

Koh states the device’s launch consists of two phases: the first phase begins in early September and sees the Note 8’s release in a number of markets including the US and the UK, while the second phase starts in October and covers the remaining markets.
