Logitech moves into console gaming accessories market with €74 million acquisition

Now, they’re knocking on the console market’s door with the purchase of high end gaming headset producer Astro.

Astro’s headsets are especially popular with professional players on the esports circuit and hardcore gaming enthusiasts.

These gamers prefer headsets over speakers because their high fidelity audio allows them to hear things like enemies sneaking up behind them, while the attached microphones enable communication with their teammates.

Logitech has no plans to close down Astro, which will continue with its same staff as a companion brand to Logitech’s G line.
