Destiny 2 will have much more story than its predecessor

Fans of the first game complained that its open-ended narrative left many questions unanswered.

Destiny 2 will have much more story than its predecessor

In response, high ranking developers at Bungie, Jason Harris and Matthew Ward, have confirmed that the sequel will feature much more story related content.

Destiny 1 did get some narrative DLC, but it did not focus on the Traveler, the alien orb that sacrificed itself to save humanity at the beginning of Destiny’s story.

However, the sequel will elucidate the orb’s backstory. Further, the developers claim that the story will be woven into every element of the game.

Gamers will be able to play the first story mission in the beta when it is released on July 18 for PS4 preorders, July 19 for Xbox One preorders, and July 21 for non-preorders on both platforms.

There’s not yet any word on when the PC beta will drop.
