His son, Ger Browne, has inherited his vast stockpile of photographs, newspaper articles, brochures, and booklets — 600 in all — and shares a few of them on this page.

Martin was born in 1919 and lived in Maynooth. After leaving school, he gained a diploma in agriculture from Dublin University in 1941 and then worked as a farmer during the Emergency.
